Brandsøyåsen is a popular viewpoint in Florø, easily accessible on foot or by bike. Several trails lead to the top from different starting points, with most of the routes well-marked, making navigation simple.

The island features a unique landscape defined by Kinnaklova, a striking mountain formation split by a deep cleft. This chasm, visible from far out at sea, has long served as a notable navigational landmark for sailors.
The island boasts a rich history, and one of its most famous historical sites is Kinn Church, dating back to the 12th century. It is believed to have been constructed as part of the Christian mission in Western Norway and has been in continuous use since the Middle Ages.
Svanøy is largest island in Kinn municipality, covering approximately 11 square km. It is said to be the birthplace of Eric Bloodaxe, the famous 10th-century Norwegian ruler, and later Northumbria. Svanøy is an attractive destination for those who enjoy nature, culture, and history.
